Why Join Christian House Sitters?
Christian House Sitters is not a money making business but a Ministry to support the work of God through the Home of Peace Children's Home in Kenya .
Christian House Sitters is a ministry that started in order to provide holidays for Christians and sitters for owners who needed a reliable Christian to look after their home, pets and garden. House sitters are only charged £20 per year and in return for this some enjoy numerous holidays each year. We do not charge owners any mambership fee.
All fees from membership goes to sponsor food for children at the Home of Peace Children's Home in Kenya. This only supplies about a quarter of what is needed to feed the chuildren so we urgently need sponsors who will give £16 per month for the chldren's food. Anyone who can't make a monthly commitment can always give an occassional gift.
We would also encourage our members to ask their church, youth group, Mother's gorup etc to prayerfully consider sponsoring a child. The work at the home is managed by Marilyn who is the manager of CHS is also UK coordinator and part of the Management Team at Home of Peace together with Elder James Onyango. HOUSE SITTING
We would be delighted to assist you to enjoy a rent-free holiday and / or to have a Christian look after your home, garden and pets while you are away.
We trust that you, and hundreds of other Christians all around the world will benefit from this site.
We all love a holiday but it can be a nightmare. There is the expense, the concern about your house while you are away, worries about your animals finding suitable accommodation at the destination of your choice..
Christian House Sitters (CHS) can help you overcome many of these problems giving you a better holiday with free accommodation and offering peace of mind. Whilst at the same time you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are also helping other Christians and supporting Christian work in Africa.
HOUSE SITTERS
By becoming a registered House sitter you will benefit by being able to have short or long breaks in your own country or abroad.
Your only expense will be the actual cost of travelling to and from the destination and your food.
You will know that you are helping another Christian to have a break and that when you arrive you will be introduced to their Church and Christian friends.
Naturally it is entirely up to you to decide if you want to get involved or not.
Having done house sitting ourselves we know that arriving in a strange place knowing nobody can be lonely.This should be overcome through using this Christian website.
HOUSE OWNERS
(Please do not register until you have your dates available to put on the site)
You benefit from being able to leave your home and animals in the care of a Christian who you have confidence will love the animals and care for you property honestly.
You will also know that you are helping another Christian to have a holiday.
You have the added security of being able to ask prospective House Sitters for a reference from their Church leaders.
You can go away not having to worry about your home and animals.
Your only expenses are the normal gas and electricity charges.
House Sitters normally cover their own telephone costs
In the UK having someone to look after your pets costs an average of £200 per week. The majority of us can't afford that.
Also if you hire a sitter through an agency they select the person. You have no idea who you are letting into your home.
Using this service you are able to make contact with potential sitters and prayerfully select the right person or persons.
COST.
Registration as a Sitter is £20 per year.
Registration as a Home Owner is FREE.
There are no other charges.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
It is really easy. You must be affiliated with a recognised Christian Church. Then just click on the REGISTER link in the menu on the left of this page. Registration only takes a few minutes.
