We all love a holiday but it can be a nightmare. There is the expense, the concern about your house while you are away, worries about your animals finding suitable accommodation at your destination etc.
Christian House Sitters can help you overcome many of these problems giving you a better holiday that costs less and offering peace of mind. Whilst at the same time you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are also helping other Christians and supporting Christian work in South Africa.
Christians who want to take a holiday and need someone to look after their home and or pets can register.
Christians who need a break can register.
We will put the two halves together.
This way we hope many Christians who could not afford a holiday will be enabled to take a break and see other countries.
HOUSE SITTERS
By becoming a registered House sitter you will benefit by being able to have short or long breaks in your own country or abroad.
Your only expense will be the actual cost of travelling to and from the destination.
You will know that you are helping another Christian and that when you arrive you will be introduced to their Church and Christian friends.
Naturally it is entirely up to you to decide if you want to get involved or not.
Having done house sitting ourselves we know that arriving in a strange place knowing nobody can be lonely.
This should be overcome through using this Christian website.
HOUSE OWNERS
You benefit from being able to leave your home and animals in the care of a Christian who you have confidence will love the animals and care for you property honestly.
You will also know that you are helping another Christian to have a holiday.
You have the added security of being able to ask prospective House Sitters for a reference from their Church leaders. You can go away not having to worry about your home and animals
Your only expenses are the normal gas and electricity charges
House Sitters normally cover their own telephone costs
In the UK having someone to look after your pets costs an average of £200 per week.
The majority of us can't afford that.
Also if you hire a sitter through an agency they select the person. You have no idea who you are letting into your home.
Using this service you are able to make contact with potential sitters and prayerfully select the right person or people.

Your contact details do not appear on the web site.

HOW DO I REGISTER?.
It is really easy. Just click on the REGISTER link in the menu on the left of this page. Registration only takes a few minutes.
IMPORTANT.
Before registering and filling in any forms please first take a moment to read the FAQ page as that explains the process.
REMEMBER The list of available properties is constantly changing. New houses are added and existing properties find sitters. We are facilitators and have no idea what houses or sitters are going to become available in the future. We never know from one day to the next what is coming and what is going to be removed. For example we had a message from someone asking about a house in Florida. We wrote back saying that we did not have any. The very next day we got a house 5 minutes from Disney World available for 2 months. God is in control. We trust that He will provide the right match between owners and sitters.
We can't find you a specific place. You need to register as a House Sitter. That will give you access to all the available houses and you will also be notified by email when new properties are added.
A minimum of 10% of all income from this site will be going to support Christian work in South Africa.
This will be channelled through Unsung Heroes, a Christian Community Development Organisation that aims to meet the needs of people in marginalised communities by strengthening unrecogised leaders and building their capacity through a programme of mentoring, following the example of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
